Welcome to Southerncalvets.org SCV LOCAL NEWS AND EVENTS... Fort Irwin! As more and more of our service men and women involved in both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi
Freedom are returning to civilian life, we are beginning to see more of these Veterans ending up living on the streets, homeless and hopeless. It is our desire to help in the formation of a new Task Force to aggressively study and decisively deal with this tragic issue.
The longer we take to effect change, the more change we will have to effect. We encourage all Veterans service organizations to contact us regarding this Task Force.
Rebuilding lives, one day at a time.

"The (Southern California Veterans) program has a
positive impact in the community. Besides helping homeless veterans, Southern California Veterans use their program graduates to prepare at-risk, pre-delinquent and delinquent youth to serve the country.
The youth are exposed to training, discipline, self-reliance and opportunities."
